Questions
How do I analyze a chess game for free?
Paste its PGN above. Stockfish, the strongest chess engine, reads every position in your browser and grades each move from brilliant to blunder, with the best move every time. Nothing to install, no account, no daily limit.
Where do I find the PGN of my game?
On chess.com: open the game, then Share, then PGN, and copy it. On Lichess: open the game, then Share and export, then copy the PGN. Or skip the PGN: paste the game link on the free game review.
How strong is the analysis?
It is Stockfish, the engine the top sites use, running in your browser. The depth depends on your device; on a recent phone or computer it finds every tactic a club player can miss.
What do the grades mean?
Each move is graded by the winning chances it gives away: best and excellent lose almost nothing, an inaccuracy a little, a mistake a lot, a blunder can turn the game. A brilliant move is a sound sacrifice.
Is my game stored?
No. The PGN stays in your browser: the analysis runs there and nothing is sent to us.
