An Aimchess alternative built on your repeated mistakes
Aimchess rates you on six skills against players of your level and gives you training for each. Chess X-Ray answers a narrower question: in which positions do you keep playing the same losing move? Give your chess.com or Lichess username and you replay those exact positions as lessons.

What Aimchess does well
Aimchess was one of the first tools to read many of your games at once. It scores you on tactics, endgames, converting an advantage, resourcefulness, time management and openings, and it compares each score with players of your rating. Its puzzles come from your own games, which is the right idea. Since 2022 it belongs to chess.com.
Where Chess X-Ray is different
A skill score tells you that your endgames are weak. It does not tell you which endgame, or which move. Chess X-Ray starts from the positions themselves: the ones you reach again and again, and the move you play there every time. Each lesson shows that move in red, lets you look for better, then gives the right line and the point to remember.
The result is short on purpose: 10 mistakes, ranked by what they cost you, not a dashboard to explore.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose Aimchess if you want a broad picture of your strengths and weaknesses by skill, and a daily training plan.
- Choose Chess X-Ray if you want to know which mistakes you keep repeating across all your games, and to replay each one on your exact position until the right move comes without thinking. See how it works.
